Career stories

I joined the team after graduating from multimedia and computer design studies. Information security has always been a side interest, so I took the risk of starting my career from scratch. Despite my lack of experience, even on the first interview, I felt confident that this team would provide full support for learning and ample opportunities to improve my skills. It gave me the confidence that I will not be left alone to sail out to the unknown.

What do I value most?
  • The duality of my job. I’m working with foreign markets and companies of different activities and sizes. It’s just seemingly technical work with huge creativity behind the scenes.
  • Learning opportunities. From the very beginning, I have received advice and support from my colleagues in reaching certifications and licenses that are highly valued in our field.
  • Practical experience. I started with little experience but had the opportunity to get hands-on experience to participate in ongoing complex and challenging projects.
  • Flexibility. Here, work-life balance is not a marketing trick. Thanks to my flexible schedule, I can easily combine work with my hobbies.
Karolis Information Security Consultant

A physicist by education and a penetration tester (ethical hacker) by heart. That’s how my colleagues introduce me. Although I graduated in telecommunications physics and electronics and explored my career options in network engineering, I ended up here. The turn was a bit adventurous and entirely curiosity-driven. When I saw a job offer, I remember being overwhelmed yet intrigued about the variety of knowledge necessary for the position. Although I didn’t meet all the criteria, some of my skills proved to be very relevant, and since I was into computing for most of my life, I felt comfortable learning what was necessary. The size of the company was also a big part of the decision – you always feel you are contributing. So, I chose a potentially riskier but more interesting path, and I don’t regret it.

What do I value most?
  • Working vibe. This job can be very challenging, but our work environment makes things easier with no additional micro-management or stress.
  • Diversity of opportunities to learn. There is a decent amount of variety – clients use different technologies, environments and network architectures, so there is always something new to focus on. I have learned to use various software tools, try out new ones, or even develop my own solutions and exploits.
  • Continuous improvement. Cyber security (penetration) testing can feel like hitting your head against the wall, but it has taught me to keep looking until everything is tested, and efforts pay off in the end.
  • Team. There is a sense of a family where everyone knows when to focus, when to joke, or give space.
